A healthy head of hair gives out a positive impression and makes a huge difference to an individual’s appearance. Historically, it has been associated with good health, and prosperity. Hair loss may be an indicator of other health issues, but even for healthy people it can have a negative psychological effect. Although hair loss isn’t that unusual, it still can have a stigma socially and affect a person’s sense of identity and well being.

WHAT IS MALE PATTERN BALDNESS & FEMALE PATTERN HAIR LOSS?

Androgenetic Alopeciais the most common type of hair loss, affecting numerous men and women. It is commonly known as male pattern baldness or female pattern hair loss.

Male pattern baldness is a genetic hair loss condition that commonly affects men after puberty. It can affect men in their teens or early 20s, and up to 60% of men in their 30’s. Common symptoms include a balding at the crown, thinning at the templates, and a receding hairline. Male pattern baldness is a gradual process  that doesn’t usually result in complete baldness. However, they may lose most of the hair on the top of their head.

Female hair loss  affects many millions of women today. FPHL is the primary cause of women’s hair loss. FPHL typically starts in middle life when women age 40, 50, and 60 in most women. However, the condition can begin earlier for some of the women. This hair loss condition is progressive. Progressiveness means that once the woman starts to lose the hair, the process will proceed for the rest of her life.
